1396 Pflueger Medalist Fly Fishing Reel. W/ Birdcage Spool. See Description.
Up for sale is an early Pflueger Medalist 1396 fly reel. This reel shows wear; however, it is still in good working order. Unfortunately, the reel foot has been filed down on both sides. Also, the frame has an unfortunate bend on one side (see photo). I do hear an occasional rub; however, it does not affect the overall performance of the reel. I also need to mention that there is a small grove near the 12 o'clock pillar (once again, it won't affect how this reel fishes). Finally, the spare pawl is missing. The clicker still sounds strong and it is relatively neutral for left-or-right hand retrieve. This reel has a diameter of 4". Despite the wear this reel has, it is still in fishable condition or it would look great in any collection! Please see all photos and thank you for looking.

in the box. All reels and lures are shipped in sturdy boxes. Rods are shipped in USPS triangular shaped tubes, regular cardboard tubes, or PVC pipe.
I will not use a rod tube or box that feels weak.
• International shipping is done through the Global Shipping Program.
