1936 Freedom Oil Works Co Map of Ohio & USA - Gasoline & Motor Oil - Bulldog

Description

For sale is a 1936 road map of Ohio and United States distributed by the Freedom Oil Works Company.  This is a nice map with the company bulldog mascot and motto "The Watchdog of Your Motor" on the front.  The back promotes Freedom Golden Gasoline and Freedom Perfect Motor Oil on the back and another image of the bulldog.  there is some staining on the map which can be seen it the photos.  There is one slight tear at a crease that I have tried to show in the last photo.
Freedom Oil Works merged with Valvoline Oil in 1944 to form the Freedom-Valvoline Oil Company.  This company was then acquired by Ashland Refining Company in 1950.  Items from the Freedom Oil Works Company are very hard to find in any condition.
