1) A Buyer must NOT Pay First then ask for/expect combined shipping.
NONE OF MY LISTING REQUIRE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT.
NOTE: eBay will group a buyers purchases into one invoice IF THE BUYER DOES NOT PAY IMMEDIATELY. (eBay makes it easy for a seller to recognize multiple purchases by the same buyer).
I view Combined Shipping as an OPPORTUNITY to provide a BUYER DISCOUNT.
I view issuing shipping refunds on combined shipping as a labor expense.
Limitations: I will only ship similar items together. Example; Toys with toys, auto parts with auto parts, books with books. This is to avoid unnecessary damage. (I go to the shippers and see how packages are thrown around the shipping room). I also know that EXPEDITED SHIPPING IS OFTEN A WASTE OF MONEY.
2) I can save a buyer lots of money on shipping.
a. Buyer only needs to contact me buy Monday or Tuesday after the purchases are made for a updated invoice.
b. COMMUNICATION IS KEY: If a buyer has a shopping list I am willing to extend eBays normal payment period (Two Days).
