Antique 18thC St. Cloud Porcelain Chinoiserie Cane Handle Soft Paste Porcelaine

For sale is
a cane handle made by St-Cloud during the first quarter of the 18th century . This one comes attached to a wooden cane that appears to be original to the period . The handle is softpaste porcelain and nicely hand painted with the typical under glaze blue decoration but a rare Chinoiserie design of a person with a cane to the top which I have never seen before! An unusual pattern all around as well. This cane handle is in great condition with some small chips around the bottom edge where it touches the wooden cane. To be exact there are three chips but two are right next to each other. They don't really distract from the beauty of this fun piece. Some of the top clear coat glaze is worn from use but it's fairly minor compared to other examples I have seen/owned. It is unmarked as far as I can see since it is attached but that is the norm anyway. The handle is 1.75 inches tall and 1.375 inches in diameter.
