NEAR MINT! Antique Dunn Bennett Chamber Pot
in the blue/gold ‘Primula’ pattern
Victorian Burslem pottery was intended not only to be pleasing to the eye but also to stand up to the rigors of daily use. Because of this, it is uncommon to find pieces in near immaculate condition. This Dunn Bennett chamber pot appears barely used and exceptionally well preserved! Furthermore, this piece is exceptionally rare – not only is it done in the “Primula” pattern transferware, but it is also in the blue/gold colorway!
This exceptional piece features the “Primula” pattern, dated to 1890-1907. The pattern is a lovely spray of primrose flowers in blue with gold gilt accents. This piece is signed on the base.
CONDITION:
This chamber pot is in NEAR MINT condition! There is very few signs of use or wear besides some very light rubbing to the gold gilt accents. There is no major damage, staining, or repair, and no signs of crazing!
