1978-81 10 Pounds from Ireland. Central Bank. Pk 72a and serial number FIC797238. Graded 66 Premium Paper Quality Superb Gem New by Legacy. Uniquely designed note with perfect margins and nice, bold colors! Red serial number found on the front of the note. Evidence of great embossing and crispness through the Legacy holder! This note has qualities collectors search for! Kept fully intact for over 30 years! The Central Bank of Ireland issued Irish Pound banknotes in 8 different denominations, including this 10 Irish Pounds banknote (Jonathan Swift). They are part of the Irish Pound banknotes series. The Central Bank of Ireland started issuing these 10 Irish Pound banknotes in 1976. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1993. This ten pounds banknote from the Republic of Ireland has the image of Jonathan Swift, Irish satirist. Celtic text on the £10 note reads ‘Banc Ceannais na hÉireann’.
