Stereo camera manufacturers offered viewers to accompany their fine stereo cameras.  Wollensak, Stereo Realist, Three Dimension Company, among others, offered viewers with excellent glass lenses that would do justice to images taken by their fine stereo cameras.
I bought this Wollensak Stereo II viewer some years back.  It came with its original box, but I bought it mainly because of its condition, which, in my opinion, approached new old stock.  I’m not sure it was new of stock, but it is as close to it as I can imagine.  In any event, I have used the viewer and can attest to its excellence in viewing stereo slides.
Only the box came with the viewer.  There was no instruction pamphlet and certainly no batteries.  If you are looking for a high-quality vintage stereo slide viewer, I don’t see how you could go wrong with this Wollensak.
Please examine all the photos, as they are part of the overall description of the viewer.  I fitted this viewer with a modern LED lamp, which, in my opinion, provides lighting that produces colors more accurately than the incandescent bulbs.  The LEDs are definitely brighter.  An all-around improvement in viewing stereo slides.  LED lamps require a reversed polarity; therefore, the batteries must be installed opposite to the directions shown on the viewer case.
This viewer functions properly in every respect.  Focusing is smooth — not stiff; and the interocular adjustment is smooth, as well.  The viewer will not ship with batteries; you will need to supply two (2) size D batteries.  Should you have any question about this viewer or desire further information, please feel free to contact me.  I make every effort to describe my items accurately.  I have been shooting stereo with vintage cameras since 1979 and still do.
